Event Information: Post-Psychoanalysis

Post-Psychoanalysis Part 2: Political Resistance:

The Post-Psychoanalysis series comprises three events organised by The Site for Contemporary Psychoanalysis, in collaboration with Ed Thornton.  This event series brings political theorists, sorcerers, philosophers and activists into conversation with practicing analysts to explore new social, political, and philosophical perspectives on contemporary psychoanalysis and its institutions.  This is the second in the Site's Post-Psychoanalysis series, following an event on Ecology (18.01.18) and before Sorcery & Trance (22.02.18)

Anthony Faramelli is a Lecturer at both Brighton University and Kingston University. He also works as a mental health support worker. Sally Sales has been a psychotherapist for over 25 years and has a background in both humanistic and psychoanalytic therapy. Mohammed Abouelleil Rashed is a philosopher of psychiatry interested in the boundaries of illness, the diagnostic process in psychiatry, empathy and understanding in 'schizophrenia', and the phenomenology of delusions and hallucinations.
